The Menhir of El Gustal (also called Valderejo Menhir ) stands on a mountain slope in Lahoz, near Vitoria in Pais Vasco in the province of Alava in Spain .

The menhir , which was broken in two , was discovered in 1982 by Felix Murga (the "Felix Murga Kalea" a street in Álava is named after him). It is visible above the ridge of the Sierra de Anderejo. The menhir weighs about 1.3 tons. It is 3.65 meters high and 28 centimeters thick, was made around 3000 BC. BC and is made of limestone .

While the dolmens are at the foot of the mountains, the menhirs of the Álava are at high points, but never at the top of mountains. The anthropomorphic tendency of many (e.g. the anthropomorphic menhir de Olano) shows that these menhirs are the forerunners of the statue menhirs .

The region's menhirs are divided into four types with eight types of upper ends, depending on their shape. Depending on the size, they are divided into three main groups. The height varies between 1.4 and 5.4 meters (Menhir de Mugarriaundi). About 50% have a height between 2.15 and 3.2 meters.
