Letterdeen menhir

The Menhir of Letterdeen ( English Letterdeen Standing Stone ) stands near the Sky Road, on the alluvial plain at the east end of Streamstown Bay, in the townland of Letterdeen ( Irish Leitir Dín ) northwest of Clifden in County Galway in Ireland .

The granite stone is one of the 33 menhirs in Connemara and is about 1.6 meters high and strongly rounded at the top. The texture of the granite is easy to see.

Nearby are the D'Arcy Stones and the Kill Stone .
