Kill Stone
The kill stone is a menhir ( English standing stone ). It stands near Sky Road, at the hamlet of Kill ( Irish An Chill ), on an alluvial plain at the east end of Kingstown Bay, west of Clifden in County Galway in Ireland .
The granite stone is one of the 33 menhirs in Connemara and is about 1.6 meters high and strongly rounded at the top. The texture of the granite is easy to see.
Nearby are the D'Arcy Stones and the Letterdeen Menhir .
