The Mennonite Peace Center Berlin (MFB) is a project of the Association of German Mennonite Congregations (VDM) within the framework of the WCC Decade to Overcome Violence . The seat is in Berlin-Lichterfelde . The VDM is one of the regional conferences of the Working Group of Mennonite Congregations .

tasks

The main focus of the MFB is the critical accompaniment of politics and world events, violence prevention through networking, and cooperation on conflict transformation in Zimbabwe.

The center, founded in 2005, is headed by Martina Basso, who is also employed as a pastor for the Berlin Mennonite congregation. The work of the MFB is supported by an advisory board headed by Pastor Fernando Enns .

Networking

The Peace Center is a member of the Ecumenical Working Group of Free Churches (ÖAF) in Berlin. In May 2010 the first joint meeting of the advisory board with the board of the German Mennonite Peace Committee took place.
