People in God's Hands is a multi-volume edition of Bible stories retold for children by Arthur S. Maxwell .

This series, the tradition of children's Bibles listening is, from 1953 to 1957, first in English in the Free Church of Seventh-day Adventist Church was released. In a total of 411 stories in 10 volumes, most of the events of the Bible are told in a way that is tailored to children. Originally written in English, The Bible Story, there were early translations into Spanish, French and German, which have led to widespread use in these language areas as well. The German translations appeared between 1964 and 1971.

In the years 2000 to 2002 it appeared again with a different presentation in 8 volumes under the title: Family Bible People in God's Hand.
