MenuetOS is a wholly x86 - assembly language written operating system , which is very compact and fast running on 32- and 64-bit architectures.
The system interfaces are optimized for programming in assembler, so that it is relatively easy to write graphical applications in assembly language. In particular in the AMD64 long-mode there are significant technical simplifications.
Multi-core operation is supported in the 64-bit version from version 0.93w. The 32-bit version is hardly developed anymore due to the continued 64-bit version. The current version 1.32 for x86 systems was released on February 12, 2020.
