Hummingbird or KolibriOS is a small, in x86 - assembly language written Open Source - Operating system . It was derived from MenuetOS and has been independently further developed since around 2004. The 64-bit distribution of MenuetOS is no longer offered as open source. Since 2005, KolibriOS has gained a larger number of user programs due to its open source and the growing developer community as a result, but remains limited to 32-bit technology and single-core operation. The last official update took place with version 0.7.7.0 in December 2009; However, nightly builds will continue to be regular (as of 2020) published on the homepage.
