history

In the years 1392 and 1397 the Heilsbronn Monastery bought goods there from Albrecht Berlein , a citizen of Dinkelsbühl. In 1446 the monastery bought a slope from the smithy and from an estate that had been owned by Wilhelm von Burk until then .

Oberschönbronn was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were 16 properties and 1 shepherd's house in the municipality. Landlords were Ansbach offices ( administration office Forndorf : 2 properties, Stiftsamt Ansbach : 3 properties, Hofkastenamt Ansbach : 1 property) and Eichstättische offices ( Stiftskapitel Herrieden : 9 properties, Kastenamt Arberg-Ornbau : 1 property). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1806 Oberschönbronn came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) Oberschönbronn was assigned to the tax district Gräbenzüge . A little later, the rural community Oberschönbronn was formed, to which the places Deffersdorf , Häuslingen , Lattenbuch , Limbach , Mittelschönbronn , Pfeifhaus , Urbansmühle and Zirndorf belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 13,960 km². In the course of the regional reform (January 1, 1972) Oberschönbronn with Lattenbuch and Limbach were incorporated into Herrieden and Deffersdorf, Häuslingen, Mittelschönbronn and Zirndorf were incorporated into Wieseth.
