The village is on the right bank of the Wieseth . The Hörnleinsbach flows into the Wieseth south of the village as a right tributary and the Geißbach east of the village as a left tributary. The Maisbuck is located southwest of the village. A community road leads to Mittelschönbronn (0.6 km northeast) or the state road 2222 crossing Höfstetten (1.4 km south).

history

The Heilsbronn Monastery acquired an estate from Brandt von Kemmathen there in 1394 .

Ammonschönbronn was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were 7 properties. The landlords were the Oberamt Feuchtwangen ( administration office Forndorf : 1 yard, 3 goods; administration office Waizendorf : 2 half yards) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (1 estate). There was also a shepherd's house that was used by the entire community. Nothing in these conditions had changed by the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century), Ammonschönbronn was assigned to the tax district of Gräbenwinds and the rural community of Aichau . In the course of regional reform in Bavaria , Ammonschönbronn was incorporated into Wieseth on January 1, 1972.
