Untermosbach is a district of the Wieseth community in the Ansbach district ( Middle Franconia ).

geography

The village is located on the Fetschendorfer Graben (in the lower course called Pflatterbach ), which is a right tributary of the Wieseth , and on the Weihergraben, which flows into the Fetschendorfer Graben as a right tributary in the village. The Gutenberg ( 461  m above sea level ) rises to the east, the Grundwasen corridor area lies to the west, and the Burker Forest borders approx. 0.5 km to the south. A community connecting road leads to Höfstetten (0.6 km north) or to Obermosbach (1.4 km south-west). Another communal road leads past the Pflattermühle to Wieseth to state road 2222 (1.3 km northeast).

history

Konrad von Kemmaten donated his farm in "Musbach" to Heilsbronn Monastery . In 1420 two married people from the village sold their little estate to the monastery. In 1437 the 22nd abbot Kötzler bought a farm and a pond above the St. Bernhard chapel from Christian Frank zu Dinkelsbühl. In 1445 the same abbot bought further goods in "Mosbach".

Untermosbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 17 properties with 18 teams. There was also a chapel and a community pastor's house. Landlord were the Principality Ansbach ( stewardship Forndorf : 1 Halbhof double team, 4 Gütlein; stewardship Waizendorf : 2 yards, courtyards 6/2, 3 Gütlein) and the eichstättische Box Office Herrieden (1 Gütlein). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Untermosbach was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Wieseth.
