Aichau is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the district of Ansbach in western Central Franconia .
location
The village is about seven kilometers east of Feuchtwangen in the middle of fields and meadows. In the southwest, the Tenscherbach, a source of the Wieseth , flows south of the neighboring town of Birkach . In the northwest are the Butzenfeld and the forest areas Viehweide and Gräbenwindner Holz. The Rudfeld borders in the east.
The district road AN 52 leads to Unterahorn (1.3 km southwest) or to Böckau (1.9 km east). A community road leads to the AN 37 at Träben winds (1.5 km north).
history
Aichau was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . The village and township government had the stewardship Forndorf held, which is also the sole lord of all property was (3 yards, 6 goods). There was also a shepherd's house that was used by the entire community (as of 1732). Nothing in these conditions changed until the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
In 1806 Aichau came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the Gemeindeedikt (early 19th century), the Rural Municipality formed Aichau, including the regions of Aichau, Ammonschönbronn , Beck Mill , Böckau , James Mill , Leichsenhof , Lölldorf , deleting Mill , Upper Maple , Schlötzenmühle and sub Maple belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 12.727 km².
On April 1, 1971, the town of Thürnhofen was added, the main town of the municipality of the same name that was dissolved. On January 1, 1972, has been under municipal reform dissolved the community Aichau: Leichsenhof was to Dentlein incorporated, Aichau, James Mill, deleting mill, upper and lower maple Feuchtwangen, Böckau came to Herrieden and Ammonschönbronn, Beck Mill, Lölldorf and Schlötzenmühle to Wieseth .
