history

Ungetsheim was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 20 properties and 1 communal shepherd's house. The landlords were feuchtwangish offices (11 properties, Feuchtwangen monastery administration office : 3 estates , city bailiff Feuchtwangen : 3 estates, 1 estate (contributions of 1 estate, 1 estate to the Ulrich Wolff Foundation), caste office Feuchtwangen : 4 estate (contributions of 1 estate to the parish Oberampfrach), the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (7 estates, 1 estate ) and the Heroldsberg estate (1 estate)). Towards the end of the 18th century there were three other Feuchtwangische properties. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Ungetsheim was assigned to the Oberampfrach tax district and the Breitenau rural community . As part of the regional reform , Ungetsheim was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on January 1, 1972.

regional customs

The Strohbelzi is a centuries-old frightening figure in the Ungetsheim Christmas tradition. He lives in the deep forest of Ungetsheim. While the Christ Child gives presents to the good children on Christmas Eve, the naughty ones are punished by the Strohbelzi. Similar figures were originally to be found throughout the Wörnitzgrund . A much more terrifying figure still exists in nearby Breitenau.
