Grinding mill (Feuchtwangen)

Schleifmühle was part of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Feuchtwangen district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland was 0.7 km south of Feuchtwangen at an altitude of 448 m above sea level. NHN . In the west was the Schleifweiher, which fed the Schleifbach, which flows 0.3 km further east as a right tributary into the Sulzach .

history

Schleifmühle was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . The town bailiff Feuchtwangen owned the grinding mill as the landlord . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century), Schleifmühle was assigned to the tax district and the municipal community of Feuchtwangen. When the house numbers were assigned, it was given number 203. Schleifmühle was pastorate to Feuchtwangen and belonged to the Feuchtwangen school district. After 1888, Schleifmühle was no longer listed as a district in the official registers. In 1968 the building was demolished. Today the new housing estate Schleifmühlweg is located there. The Schleifweiher is used as an outdoor pool .
