Meierhof is a residential area of Unterahorn , a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Central Franconian district of Ansbach in Bavaria .

geography

Immediately north of the wasteland rises a right tributary of the Tenscherbach , which in turn is a left tributary of the Ahornbach . A community connecting road leads to Oberahorn (0.8 km southwest) or to the district road AN 52 (0.6 km northeast) near Aichau .

history

The farm (originally written Maierhof) was taken over on April 7, 1781 by Georg Thomas Maier from Peter Georg Friedrich Meier for 4,000 guilders. In 1831 Johann Friedrich Sindel, the grandson of the widow of the late Georg Thomas Meier, took it over for 4,400 guilders. Today's Meierhof with house numbers 4a and b was only founded later.

Until the regional reform in Bavaria (January 1, 1972), Unterahorn and thus Meierhof belonged to the formerly independent municipality of Aichau .
