Koppenschallbach is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The hamlet is located about one kilometer south-southeast of the outskirts of Feuchtwangen at the foot of the slope on the left of the Sulzach and on the right of the Schönbach , which flows 200 meters further south as a left tributary into the Sulzach. Approx. The Ulrichholz lies 0.5 km to the north and the Schönberg rises approx. 0.5 km to the east.

A communal road to the Walkmühle (1 km northwest) or to the district road AN 41 (0.2 km east), which runs past the Hainmühle to Krapfenau (2 km south) or after Feuchtwangen to state road 2222 (1.7 km north) .

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1417 in a document from the Feuchtwanger Stift .

Koppenschallbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of two properties. The basic rule had the pin stewardship Feuchtwangen held. Towards the end of the Old Kingdom , the place consisted of 3 properties. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century), Koppenschallbach was assigned to the Heilbronn tax district and the Krapfenau rural community . In the course of the regional reform , Koppenschallbach was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on July 1, 1971.
