Dorfgütingen is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The parish village and Archshofen to the north form a closed settlement that lies on a flat, hilly plain consisting of grassland with a few trees and arable land. The Gutenbach, a right tributary of the Sulzach , flows between the villages and feeds a lake that can be used for swimming. The Mühlgraben flows into Dorfgütingen as a right tributary into the Gutenbach.

The B 25 leads past Krobshausen to Banzenweiler (2.3 km south) or to junction 49 of the A 6 (2 km north-west). The district road AN 36 leads to Archshofen (0.3 km north). A community road leads to Breitenau to AN 36 (2.7 km to the west). The Dorfgütingen stop is on the Nördlingen – Dombühl railway line , which, however, is only used sporadically.

history

The place was the headquarters of the Lords of Gütingen . In 1431, Peringer von Gütingen had a chapel built for himself, which he donated to the community before his death. In 1452 Ulrich von See donated a perpetual early mass to the chapel, and a little later a parish was established under the Feuchtwangen monastery. With the introduction of the Reformation in the Principality of Ansbach , the monastery in the Feuchtwangen Oberamt was secularized. Dorfgütingen had a Protestant pastor since 1551. The place was badly hit by the Thirty Years War , so that only a few households were still inhabited and the parish had to be connected to that of Feuchtwangen in 1637. It only regained independence in 1669.

From the beginning, Dorfgütingen formed a community with Archshofen to the north. It was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were 30 properties. Were landlords

There was also 1 church with a cemetery, 1 rectory and 1 schoolhouse. Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1806 Dorfgütingen came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district Dorfgütingen was formed, to which the places Archshofen , Bonlanden , Dornberg , Hinterbreitenthann , Krobshaeuser Mühle , Neidlingen , Oberdallersbach , Rödenweiler , Wolfsmühle and Zumloch belonged. A little later, the rural community of Dorfgütingen was formed, to which the places Archshofen, Bonlanden, Böhlhof , Bühl , Dornberg, Krobshäuser Mühle, Neidlingen and Rödenweiler belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 11,858 km². In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria (January 1, 1972) this was incorporated into Feuchtwangen.
