The Caramoan Peninsula is located in the south of the island of Luzon , in the Philippines . It is located in the northeast of the Camarines Sur province on the Bicol peninsula . The topography of the peninsula is described as mountainous, the elevation profile rises to 1,003 meters above sea level, on Saddle Peak . It separates the Philippine Sea , in the north, from the Gulf of Lagonoy in the southeast. To the east, the Maquela Channel separates the peninsula from Catanduanes Island . The 3.16 km² Caramoan National Park lies on its northern coast . North of the Caramoan Peninsula are the islands of Quinalasag , Lahuy , Basot , Basog and Bagieng Island .
The municipalities of Caramoan , Garchitorena , Lagonoy , Presentacion and San Jose are on the peninsula.
