Oberahorn is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Central Franconian district of Ansbach in Bavaria in Germany . To the district include the deserts Meierhof and Wiegelshof .
geography
The village is located about five kilometers northeast of Feuchtwangen am Ziegelbach, which joins the Brechhausbach and Ahornbach further south (known in the lower reaches of the Lassenbach), which is a right tributary of the Wieseth . Approx. 0.75 km to the northwest is the Hohe Fichten corridor, about 0.25 km to the west is the Hollfeld and about 0.5 km to the southwest is the Brand. A communal road leads past Wiegelshof to Zumberg (2.3 km west) or to Unterahorn to the district road AN 52 (0.8 km east). Another communal road leads across the Meierhof to the AN 52 near Aichau (1.3 km northeast).
history
In 1464, Oberahorn was first mentioned on the occasion of the purchase of a property. In 1697 a school was founded in the village.
Oberahorn was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 20 properties, two communal shepherds' houses and a school. Were landlords

At Bundschuh, the Eichstatt subjects are more precisely differentiated: four properties were subordinate to the Bailiwick of Königshofen , three properties to the Herrieden monastery chapter . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
With the community edict (early 19th century), Oberahorn was assigned to the Heilbronn tax district and the Aichau rural community . As part of the regional reform , Heilbronn was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on January 1, 1972.
