Charmühle is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The desert with only a house number lies between the Charhof bachauf- and the already Herrieden belonging Bittelhof bach down close to the border of the urban area to the left side of the upper Charbachs, an east current, right influx of Wieseth . The Mühlgraben branched off from the Charbach feeds a mill pond less than ten ares in size on the western edge of the village . The vast forest of chapels begins a good hundred meters to the north.

A community road leads to Charhof (0.5 km west) or to Birkach to the district road AN 37 (1 km south).

The place name means forest mill (from ahd. Har = forest).

Charmühle was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there was an estate (a mill). The landlord was the city ​​bailiff Feuchtwangen . Nothing had changed in the conditions by the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Charmühle was assigned to the tax district Weinberg and the rural community Vorderbreitenthann . In the course of the regional reform this was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on January 1, 1972.
