history

Originally the Counts of Oettingen were the feudal lords of the place. In 1252 a "Otto de Lavrieden" was mentioned in a document. This was Oettingischer Ministeriale and had his headquarters in Larrieden. Friedrich von Lerpaur was sitting on it around 1352. Nothing is known about the further whereabouts of the manor. State sovereignty later passed to the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 31 properties with 33 teams. Were landlords

There was also 1 church, 1 rectory, 1 schoolhouse and 2 shepherds' houses. Towards the end of the Old Kingdom there were only 29 households left, 10 of which were Feuchtwangisch. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1806 Larrieden came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century), the tax district Larrieden was formed, to which the places Oberhinterhof and Unterhinterhof belonged. A little later, the rural community Larrieden was formed, to which Heiligenkreuz, Oberhinterhof and Unterhinterhof belonged. It was subject to the Feuchtwangen Regional Court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 8,642 km². In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria (January 1, 1972) this was incorporated into Feuchtwangen.
