Hammerschmiede is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies at the Jägersbrünnlein, which flows 200 meters further east as the right tributary of the Sulzach . In the south lies the Hart forest area. A community road leads to Sulzach (1.3 km southeast) or to Zehdorf (0.8 km northwest). Another communal road leads past the Krapfenauer mill to Krapfenau to the district road AN 41 (0.5 km east).

history

With the community edict (early 19th century) Hammerschmiede was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Aichenzell . After 1885 the place belonged to Zehdorf , which was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on July 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform . In the local database of the Bayerische Landesbibliothek Online, the hammer forge is again registered as an officially named part of the community.

  • Two houses belonging together from the 18th century. a) Two-storey stone plaster building of 4 to 4 axes with a gable roof. Later additions. On the door lintel, the year 17 I. L, p. 46 (Johann Leonhard Schäff). Board with oak support and baluster shape. Room with a coffered wooden ceiling. The mill's corner post is marked HSSE 1718 . - b) Basement of the former hammer forge with a modern structure. On the toothed corner cuboid the coat of arms, monogram HLSF and the year 17. AH 54 .
