Unterransbach is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The hamlet lies in the valley basin of the Ransbach , a right tributary of the Sulzach . In the north is the Kronberg ( 507 m above sea level ) and in the south the Rothbergholz, both elevations of the Sulzacher Randhöhen, a section of the Frankenhöhe . A community road leads to Oberransbach (1.2 km to the west) or to Weiler am See (0.8 km to the east).
history
The place was originally called "Unterramsbach". The place name is derived from the name of the water body, whose defining word is probably raban in the contracted form ram ( ahd. For raven ). The Feuchtwangen monastery had six fiefdoms there.
Unterransbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 5 properties with 6 teams (1 yard with double crew, 1 yard, 3 goods) and 1 shepherd's house of the municipality. The Feuchtwangen monastery administrator's office was in charge of village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties . Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
With the community edict (early 19th century) Unterransbach was assigned to the tax district Breitenau and the rural community of Banzenweiler . In the course of the regional reform , Unterransbach was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on July 1, 1971.
