Aichenzell (colloquially Achezell ) is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village lies on the Sulzach and the Überlagbach, which flows into the Sulzach as a right tributary. The Breitfeld borders in the south. A communal road leads to Feuchtwangen (0.2 km north) or to Herrnschallbach (1 km south-east).
history
Aichenzell, like all other -zell places ( Leiperzell , Seiderzell , Bergnerzell and Rammerzell ), was laid out by Feuchtwangen Monastery and administered by it. Since it was converted into a secular canon monastery in 1197, Aichenzell must have been founded before 1197.
Aichenzell burned down in 1560 and seven children died in the fire.
Aichenzell was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were ten properties in the village. The Oberamt was the landlord of eight properties ( Stiftsverwalteramt Feuchtwangen : 2 courtyards, 4 estates; Kastenamt Feuchtwangen : 1 Köblersgut; Stadtvogteiamt Feuchtwangen : 1 estate). Two goods were a free own family stool. There was also a shepherd's house that was used by the entire community. Nothing in these conditions had changed by the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
In 1806 Aichenzell came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century), the tax district and the rural community Aichenzell were formed, to which the places Esbach , Hammerschmiede , Herrnschallbach , Höfstetten , Kaltenbronn , Mögersbronn , Sommerau , Überlagmühle , Walkmühle , Winterhalten and Zehdorf belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Feuchtwangen Regional Court and had an area of 16.739 km². In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria (January 1, 1972) it was incorporated into Feuchtwangen.
