Heiligenkreuz (also called Ziegenberg ) is a district of the town of Feuchtwangen in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

To the north and west of the hamlet arise two nameless streams, both of which are left tributaries of the Sulzach . Approx. The Weidenbusch forest area is 0.5 km to the north, and the Pfaffenholz forest area about 0.5 km to the east. A community road leads to Larrieden to the district road AN 5 (1.5 km southwest) or to Kaltenbronn to the B 25 (2 km northeast). A community road leads to Tribur to AN 5 (1.5 km northwest).

history

Heiligenkreuz was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 4 properties. The landlords were the Feuchtwangen monastery administration office (1 estate ), the parish of Mosbach (1 estate), whose claims were administered by the Feuchtwangen caste office , and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (2 estate). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Heiligenkreuz was assigned to the tax district Mosbach and the rural community Larrieden . In the course of the regional reform , Heiligenkreuz was incorporated into Feuchtwangen on January 1, 1972.
