Kugelmühle is a residential area in the city of Herrieden in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The former wasteland now consists of five residential buildings and twelve auxiliary buildings. It is located on the Rösgraben, a right tributary of the Schreinermühlbach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Altmühl . In the east the Steinbachforst borders, in the west mostly arable land. A communal road leads to Rauenzell (0.6 km southwest) or the district road AN 55 (0.1 km west), which runs to Rös (1.7 km north) or to Rauenzell to state road 2249 (0.9 km southwest ).

history

The place was in the Fraisch district of the Eichstättischen Oberamt Wahrberg-Herrieden . The caste office in Herrieden was the landlord of the grinding mill . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, the ball mill was assigned to the Rauenzell tax district formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community Rauenzell , which was founded a little later . After 1888 it is no longer run as a district.

On July 1, 1971, Kugelmühle was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
