history
Originally both settlements on this side and on the other side of the Wieseth were called Träbenwinde. Over time, the name Sickersdorf prevailed for the eastern part. The place was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 Sickersdorf consisted of 4 properties and 1 shepherd's house belonging to the municipality. The landlords were the cloister administrator in Sulz (1 yard, 1 estate) and the Eichstätt monastery (1 yard, 1 estate). Towards the end of the 18th century there was only 1 property left which was subordinate to the Eichstättischen Vogtamt Aurach . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
With the community edict (early 19th century), Sickersdorf was assigned to the tax district of Gräbenzüge and the rural community of Elbersroth . On July 1, 1971, Sickersdorf was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
