Leuckersdorf is a district of the town of Herrieden in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The hamlet lies on the Wieseth and is surrounded by green and arable land in the valley basin. A little further east is the wooded hill Stadler and a little further west the wooded hill Kapellenwald.

The district road AN 36 leads to Windshofen (1.5 km to the west) or to Elbersroth (1.2 km to the south-east). A community road leads to Gimpertshausen (0.9 km north).

history

The place was probably founded in the 11th century. The defining word of the place name is the personal name "Leukardus". A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of the settlement.

Leuckersdorf was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were 3 properties. The landlords were the Bechhofen administration office (2 properties) and the Amlishagen manor (1 property). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Leuckersdorf was assigned to the Weinberg tax district and the Elbersroth rural community . On July 1, 1971, Leuckersdorf was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
