history

The place was built in 1482 by Herriedener Gebhard Schmidt and operated as a grinding mill. In 1717 a new mill was built by the carpenter Johann God. Since then the place has been called the joiner's mill, but the “Koeweyhermühle” shape was also in use until the end of the 18th century. The place was in the Fraisch district of the Eichstättischen Oberamt Wahrberg-Herrieden . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach . The mill was given house number 40 in the town of Rauenzell. 3.1 hectares of arable and pasture land belonged to the property  .

As part of the municipal edict , the carpenter's mill was assigned to the Rauenzell tax district, which was formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community Rauenzell , which was founded a little later . After 1888 it is no longer run as a district.

On July 1, 1971, Schreinermühle was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
