history

Rösmühle was built by Franz Feichter in 1717. The place was in the Fraisch district of the Eichstättischen Oberamt Arberg-Ornbau . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach . The mill was given house number 12 in the town of Rös . The property included 2.8  hectares of pastureland in the north along the Rösgraben and several fields in the west.

As part of the municipal edict, the Rösmühle was assigned to the Rauenzell tax district formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community Rauenzell , which was founded a little later . After 1888 it is no longer run as a district.

On July 1, 1971, Rösmühle was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
