Lammelbach is a district of the city of Herrieden in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The village is located on the Erlbach ( called Hechelschutzbach in the lower reaches ), a right tributary of the Altmühl . The place is located in the middle of a hilly plain consisting of grassland with a single tree population and arable land. In the west the corridor is called Hartfeld, in the southeast Langfeld. Approx. The Lammelberg ( 473  m above sea level ) rises 1.5 km to the south .

The district roads AN 54 lead to Lettenmühle (1.2 km south) or to Leibelbach to state road 2248 (1.3 km north). A community road leads to Manndorf (0.4 km north).

history

The place was probably founded in the 11th century.

In 1801 there were nine households in the place, all of which were subject to the Eichstätt Oberamt Wahrberg.

With the community edict (early 19th century) Lammelbach was assigned to the tax district Heuberg . A little later, the rural community Heuberg was formed, to which the places Leibelbach , Manndorf , Sauerbach and Winn belonged. It was subject to the Herrieden district court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of ​​4.622 km². As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , this was incorporated into Herrieden on July 1, 1971.

  • House No. 5: Farmhouse, two-storey saddle roof building, with plaster structure, verge tiles with ornamental decor and mask, around 1912.
  • In Lammelbach: former flax breaker house, single-storey saddle roof building, converted into a fire station in the early 20th century; at the exit to Leibelbach.
  • Gründlesfeld: war memorial, wayside cross, cast iron on sandstone base, probably second quarter of the 20th century; at the exit to Leibelbach.
  • Hartfeld; From Kr AN 54 (Lammelbach) to St 2248: wayside cross, cast-iron crucifix on sandstone plinth, second half of the 19th century, with inscription; 200 meters outside the village on the road to Leibelbach.
