Giuseppe Quargentan is a former Italian racing car driver .

Career

Giuseppe Quargentan was active in the 1980s and 1990s in the European Touring Car Championship , the BPR Global GT Series and the European Le Mans Series . When the European Championship became the World Touring Car Championship in 1987 , Quargentan switched to this new racing series. He drove a BMW 635 CSi and finished eighth overall in the 500 km race in Monza .

He was successful in races at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry and the Autodromo Vallelunga . After a fifth place finish at the 1000 km race from Paris in 1994 he drove in 1995 together with the Frenchman Philippe Auvray on a Porsche 911 GT2 in third place overall. His last race start was at the 6-hour race in Vallelunga in 1999 , where he finished fifth overall as a partner of Nigel Smith and Ernst Palmberger .
