Paris 1000 km race in 1995

The 14th 1000 km race of Paris , also 1000 Km de Paris , took place on May 14, 1995 at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry . The race was the seventh round of the BPR Global GT Series this year.

The race

After 1994 a 1000 km race from Paris was held again in Montlhéry in 1995. As in the previous year, only part of the oval course was used; two of the banked turns, the approach and departure of which were slowed down by chicanes. Although the race was officially run as a 1000 km race, the race distance was just under 540 kilometers. This shortening was the result of an adjustment to the duration of the other races in the series, which lasted a maximum of 4 hours.

The first six races of the season were dominated by two teams and their McLaren F1 GTRs . Ray Bellm and Maurizio Sandro Sala won the races in Jerez , Paul Ricard , Jarama and on the Nürburgring . Thomas Bscher and partner John Nielsen triumphed in Monza and Donington .

In Montlhéry, an outsider team won with the two German men's drivers Stefan Oberndorfer and Detlef Hübner .
