Paris 1000 km race 1970

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jack Brabham - here in 1966 - won his last car race in 1970 in Montlhéry

The tenth 1000 km race in Paris , also 1000 Kilometres de Paris (Course International de Vitesse D'Endurance), Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry , took place on October 18, 1970 at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry . The race was not part of any racing series.

The race

After the race had counted to the French Circuit Championship in 1969 , the event was held again in 1970 without a championship status. The three-time Australian Formula 1 world champion Jack Brabham celebrated his last race victory as a partner of François Cevert in the factory - Matra-Simca MS660 . Brabham retired from professional motorsport a week later after the Mexican Grand Prix .
