Franz Pesch

Franz Pesch (* 1947 ) is a German architect and urban planner .

Franz Pesch completed a degree in architecture and urban planning at RWTH Aachen University . After passing the diploma examination, he was initially a scientific assistant to Peter Zlonicky at the Faculty of Spatial Planning at the University of Dortmund , where he received his Dr.-Ing. (Urban and regional planning) doctorate . In 1982 he founded today's office pesch partner architects and city planners BDA / SRL with offices in Dortmund and Stuttgart. In 1992/1993 he was visiting professor at the University of Kassel . Since 1994 he has taught as a professor for urban planning and design at the Urban Development Institute at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart .

His research focuses on urban renewal , inner city development and public space.

Pesch works as an appraiser and consultant in Germany and abroad and has won numerous competition successes and awards in the areas of urban planning, residential construction and public space with his office. In addition, he has published numerous publications on the subjects of urban development, building culture and planning policy.
