Hans-Dieter Collinet (born September 11, 1943 in Monschau ) is a retired ministerial director .

Life

Hans-Dieter Collinet graduated from high school in 1965 and then studied urban planning under Erich Kühn at RWTH Aachen University until 1971 . He completed his traineeship training in building construction and urban planning at the city of Düsseldorf . From 1974 to 1978 he was employed as a district building officer for the district of Heinsberg . After that he was employed as a municipal building officer for the city of Stolberg until 1986 . Under his leadership, the protection of over 500 monuments was promoted. He was also largely responsible for the conversion of the former glassworks into the Museum Zinkhütter Hof .

Since 1986 Collinet has worked in several areas of the NRW Ministry for Urban Development . Here he was not only responsible for the monument area, but also for the projects International Building Exhibition Emscher Park , EXPO 2000 -Initiative Ostwestfalen-Lippe and EUROGA 2002+ . From 2002 until his departure in 2009 he was head of the urban development department in the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Culture and Sport. When he said goodbye, the former state building minister Oliver Wittke paid tribute to his work: “ Hans-Dieter Collinet described urban and spatial planning principles that we will talk about for many years to come. "

Until 2015, Collinet was chairman of the architectural council of the city of Aachen. and is chairman of the association "aachen_fenster - Raum für Bauen und Kultur eV" and the board of trustees of Energeticon gGmbH.

Collinet has been a member of the jury several times in various committees, for example the "Award for exemplary buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia 2005", the " Architecture Prize North Rhine-Westphalia 2007 ", the "European Garden Prize of the European Garden Heritage Network (EGHN) 2010" and the "BDB / LBS student competition 2015 ".

On September 2, 2010, Hans-Dieter Collinet was awarded the Rhineland Thaler.

Hans-Dieter Collinet has been married since 1969 and has four children.
