Olivier Thévenin
Olivier Thévenin (born February 25, 1968 in Orléans ) is a former French racing driver .
Career
Monoposto
Olivier Thévenin began his career in the French Formula Renault Turbo Championship , which he finished fifth overall in 1987. A year later he finished this championship behind the overall winner Ludovic Faure , Michel Maisonneuve , Yvan Muller and Olivier Panis with 80 points in fifth. The emergency vehicle was a Martini MK54 . In 1992 he finished third behind Franck Lagorce and Emmanuel Clérico in the French Formula 3 championship and in 1994 switched to GT and sports car racing.
GT and sports cars
At the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s, he regularly competed in the French GT Championship, where he won five races over the course of the year. After a third overall place in 2004 (behind Patrick Bornhauser and the ex quo in second place Bruno Besson and David Hallyday ), he secured the overall victory of this series in 2005.
He competed seven times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans , with his best result in 1995 when he finished twelfth. After the end of the 2010 racing year, he ended his professional career.
