Patrick Bourdais
Patrick Bourdais (born September 16, 1954 in L'Hermitage ) is a former French racing driver and the father of Sébastien Bourdais .
Career in motorsport
Patrick Bourdais' career is closely linked to a race; the Le Mans 24 hour race . Between 1993 and 2006 he took part in the 24-hour race in western France nine times . He made his debut in 1993 on a Sauber SHS C6 registered by Roland Bassaler . The mission ended prematurely after an accident. The last time he raced, he drove a Porsche 911 GT3-RSR in 2006 , which was reported by Noël del Bello . This time, too, the race ended prematurely after an accident with a team mate. His best finish in the final standings was the 20th place in 1996 in the Porsche 911 GT2 of Larbre Compétition .
Apart from Le Mans, he celebrated successes in the French Renault 5 and Renault Clio Cup . In 1987 he was third overall in the Renault 5 Turbo Cup, and in 1991 he was overall winner in the Renault Clio Cup.
