Jean-Louis Capette

Jean-Louis Capette (born May 29, 1946 - March 13, 2015 in Lyon ) was a French racing car driver .

Racing career

Jean-Louis Capette was born near Paris and moved to Val-d'Isère with his mother in 1971 . As a showman, he sold bicycles and sportswear and in the mid-1970s opened a company for the distribution of sporting goods in Tignes . Capette was in possession of flight tickets for various types of aircraft and helicopters .

Jean-Louis Capette competed in rallies and circuit races in the 1980s and 1990s . 1993 he went together with Roland Bassaler and Patrick Bourdais on a Sauber SHS C6 at the 24-hour race at Le Mans at the start. He was unable to finish the race after an accident.

He died in March 2015 after complications from knee surgery in a hospital in Lyon .
