Junior Arias , full name Junior Gabriel Arias Cácerers , (born May 17, 1993 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.70-meter-tall offensive player Arias has been in the professional squad of Liverpool Montevideo since the Clausura 2013 at the latest . In that half series he completed four games (no goal) in the Primera División . After no further premier league appearances were recorded for him in the 2013 Apertura, he moved to El Tanque Sisley on loan within the league in January 2014 . In the Clausura 2014 he scored six goals in 15 appearances this season. For the 2014/15 season he returned to Liverpool Montevideo, who had since been relegated to the Segunda División . With 17 goals in 23 second division appearances, he contributed to the promotion at the end of the season. In the 2015/16 season, he played 29 first division games and scored 19 goals. So he was together with Gastón Rodríguez Uruguayan first division top scorer this season. At the beginning of August 2016, he moved to Club Atlético Peñarol . In his first season with the "Aurinegros" he scored five goals in 14 league appearances. He also played an encounter (no goal) at the Copa Sudamericana 2016 . During the 2017 season, he appeared 22 times (five goals) in the Primera División and six times (two goals) in the 2017 Copa Libertadores . In July 2017, the Argentine club CA Talleres signed him and paid a transfer fee of one million dollars for 33 percent of the transfer rights.

National team

On May 19, 2015, Arias was initially nominated by coach Fabián Coito for the provisional squad of the U-22s at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto . After all, he was on the final squad and won the tournament with the Celeste. During the tournament he was used four times (no goal).
