Arthur Lauber (born March 2, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer , musician and producer .

Life

Lauber studied classical composition at the Vienna University of Music before he worked for three years as a music teacher at BG II (today Sigmund-Freud-Gymnasium) in Vienna's 2nd district . From there he moved to CBS Austria as a producer . Arthur Lauber has been a freelance composer since 1975. He was u. a. Member of the Viennese Austropop band Misthaufen , stage partner of the Austrian cabaret artist Erwin Steinhauer for 10 years , composed stage music for the Vienna Burgtheater , the Wiener Kammerspiele , for all Viennese cabaret stages as well as the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft and the Kommödchen Düsseldorf. In the course of his career he set to 200 film and series productions (including the Kaisermühlenblues). In 2013 Lauber and his colleagues Ferdinand Auhser and Manfred Schweng initiated the project "Listen, Bakabu", which is about the composition of linguistically evaluated children's songs for early language learning.

Arthur Lauber lives and works in Tulln on the Danube . He is married and has one adult son.
