Manfred Schweng (born February 13, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer, musician, lyricist, interpreter and music producer.

Life

Schweng studied jazz bass with Rudolf Hansen at the Vienna Conservatory . During his studies he played in various Viennese scene bands such as B. Shlomit B-Power, with the now internationally renowned drummer Thomas Lang . In 1991 Ludwig Hirsch accepted the young professional musician as a permanent member of the band. This was followed by 20 years of concert tours in German-speaking countries and numerous CD recordings, for which he also acted as a producer from 2002. Since that time he has maintained intensive musical collaboration with Johnny Bertl in a wide variety of projects (including musical Falco meets Amadeus )

Since 1995 he has been producing in his own recording studio Soundgarden Vienna , u. a. numerous productions for ORF .

He is a composer, lyricist, interpreter and producer of all songs for the successful project Hör zu, Bakabu (children's songs for early language learning ). He developed the project in 2014 together with Arthur Lauber and Ferdinand Auhser. In 2017 the first of three song albums with around 50 published children's songs was released.
