Christmas in Vienna

Christmas in Vienna is a concert event in Vienna . It has been taking place regularly in the run-up to Christmas since 1992.

The event originally took place in different locations in Vienna, but is now firmly anchored in the Wiener Konzerthaus .

The majority of the soloists change every year, with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra , the Vienna Singing Academy and the St. Florian Boys 'Choir and the Vienna Boys' Choir being an integral part .

Well-known singers who have been participating in the concert for a long time are, for example, Plácido Domingo or José Carreras .

The Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen (also known as the Vienna Children's Opera Choir ) took part from 1992 to 2000 , and the recordings of these concerts were published by Sony Music . In 2001 and 2002 there was no concert.
