Liliana Nikiteanu (born October 10, 1962 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

After graduating from the Bucharest Music Academy in 1986, she began her career at the Galati Music Theater. In 1989 she came to Vienna from Romania . Since 1991 she has been a member of the Zurich Opera House . Her steep career brought her as a guest in opera houses such as: Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona, ​​Hamburg, Dresden, Paris or in major festivals such as: Salzburg Summer and Easter Festival , Aix-en-Provence , Montpellier , Bregenz and La Coruna . It has an immense repertoire: it contains over 60 roles, including: Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss , Carmen by Georges Bizet , Jezibaba in Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák , Margarete in La damnation de Faust by Hector Berlioz and Ljubascha in Die Zarenbraut by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov .
