Thorsten Görke (born September 22, 1976 in Borna ) is a German football player who has been under contract with the Saxony-Anhalt league club VfB Imo Merseburg since 2012. He plays as a defensive and defensive midfielder .

biography

Görke began his career at Bornaer SV . He then moved to VfB Leipzig as a teenager . On May 8, 1999 he made his debut in the 1st team (Regionalliga Nordost). After a total of two league games in 1998/99, he had a regular place from 1999/2000. After relegation to the league, he initially remained loyal to the club.

In 2002 he moved to FC Erzgebirge Aue . As a regular player he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season with FCE , but only made three appearances for the 2003/04 season and in 2004 moved to the Bundesliga club FC Carl Zeiss Jena . After a year-long stint at Chemnitzer FC , he played two seasons at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt before moving to the upper division Hallescher FC in 2007 . With Halle Thorsten Görke rose to the Regionalliga Nord after the 2007/08 season. After the 2009/10 season, where he only had a few missions in Halle, he moved to 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, where he started his professional career at the previous club, VfB Leipzig.
