Beate Ritter (born December 19, 1983 in Grieskirchen , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Beate Ritter grew up in St. Georgen near Grieskirchen . In 2002 she completed a musical training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna which she was able to complete in 2005. She then studied classical solo singing at the Vienna Conservatory (2006–2011) with Kai Wessel . She made her operatic debut in January 2009 at the Theater an der Wien as Yniold in Claude Debussy's Pélleas et Mélisande under Bertrand de Billy . In September 2009 she won first prize and the audience prize at the “ Klassik Mania ” competition in Vienna. In June 2010 she made her debut as Blonde ( Die Entführung aus dem Serail ) at the Volksoper Vienna , where she was a member of the soloist ensemble from 2010 to 2018. She has been a member of the ensemble at the Stuttgart State Opera since autumn 2018 . Beate Ritter for their virtuoso singing on the top pitch known.

A wide concert and oratorio repertoire with works by Johann Sebastian Bach (the Passions, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen , cantatas), Georg Friedrich Handel , Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( Exsultate, jubilate , C minor Mass , concert arias) and Joseph Haydn , song programs from romanticism ( Franz Schubert , Hugo Wolf , Max Reger , Richard Strauss ) to contemporary modernism ( Mauricio Kagel , Aribert Reimann ) as well as a comprehensive operetta repertoire round off her repertoire.
