Meqon (physics engine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Meqon physics engine is an object-oriented physics engine written in C ++ that can calculate different types of bodies (spheres, cuboids, cylinders, N-angular extruded surfaces, landscapes, ...) and stable connections (ball joints).

The engine is modularly expandable.

The engine was developed by the Swedish developer Meqon Research AB, founded in 2002 . In September 2005 ageia Technologies, Inc. took over the company and stopped developing the engine in favor of the PhysX engine. Ageia continued to support Meqon's existing customers.

According to the developers, the engine was used for Duke Nukem Forever , among others .
