History

With the help of a school foundation, a school and cantor house could be built. The service was often part-time, Hans Möder (1656) and Wolf Christoph Wagner (1662) were, for example, bakers, Lorenz Kinau (before 1665) Keßler, Andreas Herbst (1665) tailor and carpenter, Paul Herbst (1682) carpenter.

In 1682 the sacristan's house was rebuilt. In 1792, under the Prussian government, the building was given house no. 2. With the construction of a new school building (house no. 82, Hauptstrasse 11) in 1842, the building served exclusively as a sacristan's house. In 1897 this building was also torn down and the current one was rebuilt along the castle wall. Since 1901 the sacristan's house has been used as the pastor's house.
