Metrological control

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The measurement technology control (MTK) in Germany is a control of the measurement accuracy , in which compliance with the permissible error limits of medical products with a measuring function is checked.

execution

The MTK is required for medical devices with a measuring function in the Medical Devices Act (MPG) of August 2, 1994 and specified in the Medical Device Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV) of June 29, 1998. It was developed by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt and the calibration authorities of all federal states.

Appendix 2 of the MPBetreibV lists those medical devices with a measuring function for which an MTK is prescribed.
