Metabolism rate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The rate of metabolism , i.e. H. the rate of metabolism indicates to what extent a drug supplied to the body is changed or broken down by so-called biotransformation (especially in the liver ). This in turn can create new substances that can also develop an effect that is stronger or weaker than the effect of the original drug on the one hand, or can have a completely different effect on the other. Likewise, the resulting product cannot have any influence on the body.
