Methodical game series

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The methodical game series (MSR) is a series of games in sports didactics to reduce the complexity of the game. Possible parameters can be the number of players, the size of the field and the material. The advantages of this form of training are that the game is played right from the start and that the players are not overwhelmed because the level of difficulty is adapted to their abilities. In addition, the confrontation with the game opponent comes to the fore, which can increase motivation.

Types

Methodical game series are divided into three different types:

  • the technique-tactic method
  • the confrontation method
  • the game-appropriate method

In the technique-tactic method, the opponent is gradually included in the exercises. As a result, the focus is initially more on the correct technique. Only when the basic technical skills have been developed do you gradually move on to playing with an opponent.

The confrontation method, on the other hand, plays from the beginning. In pure confrontation, the official rules of the game apply, while in the prepared confrontation method, the rules of the game are simplified at the beginning. In the indirect confrontation method, training moves from small games to more complex games.

The game-appropriate method is a combination of methodical series of games and methodical series of exercises . It is similar to the indirect confrontation method and expands it with additional series of exercises for individual skills.
